1. The Fur beetle or carpet beetle  is an important pest, damaging stored products such as furs, skins , textiles and grain.
2. It is is a 4 mm-6-long oval shaped insect with two patches of white hair on the elytra.
3. A common inhabitant of birds nests. Adults feed outdoors often on Spiraea plants.
